Can the AI agent create recurring Zoom meetings or only one-time meetings?

The agent can create both. Zoom's Create Meeting API supports one-time, recurring with fixed schedule, and recurring with no fixed time meeting types. Specify the recurrence pattern, days, and end date in the meeting configuration, and the agent generates a recurring series with a single join link.

How does the agent handle Zoom webinar registration approval?

If your webinar requires manual approval, the agent registers the attendee with a pending status. If auto-approval is enabled, registration is confirmed immediately. The agent returns the appropriate confirmation based on your webinar's registration settings, including the unique join link for approved registrants.

What Zoom scopes does Tars request through OAuth?

Tars requests scopes for meeting read and write, webinar read and write, recording access, and user information. You authorize these during the OAuth flow. Scopes are limited to what the integration needs. You can revoke access from your Zoom Marketplace installed apps page at any time.

Does Tars store Zoom meeting recordings or participant data?

No. Tars retrieves recording URLs and meeting metadata from Zoom in real time during conversations. Recording files remain in Zoom's cloud storage. Participant lists and meeting details are fetched live and not stored in Tars databases after the conversation ends.

Can the agent access Zoom AI Companion meeting summaries?

Yes. If your Zoom plan includes AI Companion and meeting summaries are enabled, the agent retrieves them through the Get Meeting Summary endpoint. Summaries include key discussion topics, action items, and next steps generated by Zoom's AI. Your team reviews takeaways without watching the full recording.

How is this different from sharing a Zoom scheduling link?

A scheduling link requires the prospect to leave your conversation, open a new page, and pick a time. Through Tars, the meeting gets created within the chat itself. The prospect confirms availability, the agent creates the Zoom meeting, and the join link is delivered. No navigation, no drop-off.

Can the agent update existing Zoom meetings?

Yes. The agent can modify meeting details through Zoom's Update Meeting API. Change the start time, duration, topic, agenda, or meeting settings after creation. If a participant asks to reschedule, the agent updates the existing meeting instead of creating a duplicate.

How do I connect Zoom to my Tars AI Agent?

In your Tars dashboard, navigate to Tools and select Zoom. Click 'Connect' to start the OAuth authorization flow. Sign in with your Zoom account and approve the requested permissions. Once connected, attach the Zoom tool to your AI Agent Gambit. The agent begins creating meetings and managing webinars during conversations.
