When a visitor provides their email, the AI agent immediately sends it to ZeroBounce's validate endpoint. ZeroBounce checks the address against SMTP verification, DNS records, disposable email databases, and known spam traps. The result comes back in under a second with a status like valid, invalid, catch-all, or unknown. The agent uses this to decide whether to accept or re-prompt.

What does ZeroBounce's AI scoring actually measure?

AI scoring predicts how likely an email recipient is to engage with your outreach. ZeroBounce analyzes behavioral patterns, domain reputation, and historical engagement signals to generate a score. Higher scores indicate active, responsive email users. The agent can use this score to prioritize leads or route them to different sales workflows based on quality.

Can the agent validate batch email lists or only single addresses?

Email addresses are not separately stored or indexed by Tars for validation purposes. Your ZeroBounce account maintains its own validation logs according to their data retention policies.

Can I configure allow and block lists for specific domains?

Yes. The agent can manage ZeroBounce's allow and block lists programmatically. Block known bad domains, disposable email providers, or competitor addresses. Allow trusted partner domains that might otherwise flag as catch-all. Rules can target individual emails, full domains, MX records, or top-level domains.

You configure how the agent handles ambiguous results. For catch-all domains where the server accepts all addresses, you might accept the email but flag it.
