How does the AI agent add recipients to Stannp mailing groups?

The agent uses Stannp's Add Recipient to Group endpoint. You provide the group_id and recipient details including first_name, last_name, address1, city, postcode, and country. Optional fields like company, email, and three custom fields can also be included. The agent handles the API call and confirms the addition.

Can the agent import a large CSV file of recipients?

Yes. The agent uses Stannp's import endpoint, which accepts base64-encoded CSV or XLS files. You specify the target group_id and whether to update existing duplicates via the update_existing parameter. The agent processes the file and returns the import results.

What authentication does Tars need for Stannp?

You need your Stannp API key, available from your Stannp account settings page. Enter it in the Tars dashboard when adding the Stannp tool. All API requests use HTTPS with API key authentication. No OAuth flow is required.

Does Tars store my Stannp recipient data?

No. Tars queries Stannp's API in real time during conversations. Contact details, group memberships, and template information are fetched on demand and used only for the current response. Tars does not cache or store your mailing list data.

Can the agent handle international addresses?

Yes. The add recipient endpoint includes a country parameter that accepts country codes. The default is GB, but you can specify any supported country code. Address fields support international formatting with three address lines, city, and postcode.

How is this different from using Stannp's dashboard directly?

The dashboard requires logging in, navigating menus, and manually entering data. With Tars, you say 'Add John Doe to the VIP group at 123 Main Street' and the agent handles the rest. Bulk imports, contact lookups, and template browsing all happen in the conversation.

Can the agent create multiple recipient groups for different campaigns?

Yes. The create group endpoint accepts a name and optional description. Group names must be unique within your account. The agent can create as many groups as you need, each with descriptive names like 'Q1 Postcard Leads' or 'Holiday Thank You Cards' for campaign organization.

Does Stannp support sending postcards to addresses outside the UK?

Yes. Stannp supports international direct mail to over 200 countries. When adding recipients, specify the country code. Stannp handles print production and international postage. The agent manages the recipient and group setup while Stannp handles physical fulfillment.
