How does the AI agent list my SiteSpeakAI chatbots?

The agent calls SiteSpeakAI's List Chatbots endpoint, which returns every chatbot associated with your authenticated account. Each entry includes the chatbot's name, unique ID, and configuration summary. No parameters are required for this call.

Can the agent retrieve prompts for a specific chatbot?

Yes. The agent uses the Get Prompts endpoint with the chatbot_id parameter. This returns all smart prompts configured for that specific chatbot, including prompt content and settings. You need the chatbot ID, which the agent can get from the list chatbots call.

What authentication does SiteSpeakAI require?

SiteSpeakAI uses API token authentication via a bearer token. Generate your token in the SiteSpeakAI dashboard under account settings. Enter it in the Tars tool configuration. No OAuth flow or additional credentials are needed.

Does Tars modify my SiteSpeakAI chatbot configurations?

No. The current integration is read-only. Your agent can list chatbots, retrieve prompts, and check account details, but it cannot create, modify, or delete chatbots or their prompts. Your SiteSpeakAI configurations remain untouched.

Can I manage chatbots across multiple SiteSpeakAI accounts?

Each Tars tool connection links to one SiteSpeakAI account. If you manage multiple accounts, you can add the SiteSpeakAI tool multiple times with different API tokens. The agent will distinguish between them based on which connection you reference.

How is this different from using the SiteSpeakAI dashboard directly?

The SiteSpeakAI dashboard requires logging in, navigating to each chatbot, and clicking through menus. With Tars, you ask a question like 'List all chatbots' or 'Show prompts for the support bot' and get immediate answers. It is especially valuable when overseeing many chatbots across properties.

What if my SiteSpeakAI API token expires?

If the token becomes invalid, the agent will receive an authentication error from SiteSpeakAI's API. It will inform you that the connection needs re-authentication. Generate a new token in your SiteSpeakAI settings and update it in the Tars dashboard.

Can the agent help identify gaps in my chatbot training?

Indirectly, yes. By retrieving all smart prompts for a chatbot, the agent can present them for review. You can then identify missing topics, outdated information, or prompt conflicts. This audit-style workflow helps keep chatbot training content comprehensive.
