How does the AI agent look up customer data in Remarkety?

The agent calls Remarkety's Customers API with your store ID, optionally filtering by date range or pagination parameters. It retrieves customer profiles including email, purchase history, and behavioral attributes. For specific customers, the agent matches by email or by date-based filtering to find the right record.

Can the agent help recover abandoned carts through Remarkety?

Yes. The agent sends cart data to Remarkety's Track Cart endpoint including cart ID, customer email, line items, and subtotal. This triggers Remarkety's automated abandoned cart email sequence. Combined with conversational reminders, you get a two-channel recovery approach that significantly improves completion rates.

What Remarkety credentials does Tars need to connect?

Tars requires your Remarkety API key and your store ID. The API key authenticates all requests, while the store ID identifies which Remarkety store the agent accesses. You generate the API key from your Remarkety dashboard settings.

Does Tars store copies of my Remarkety customer or product data?

No. Tars queries Remarkety's API in real time during each conversation. Customer profiles, product catalogs, and campaign data are fetched live and used only within the active session. No separate database of your Remarkety information is maintained by Tars.

Can the agent tell customers about specific email campaigns they received?

The agent retrieves campaign listings from Remarkety's Campaigns API, showing campaign names, types, and status. While it cannot see individual send records per customer, it can confirm whether a campaign exists, describe its general offer, and help the customer apply any relevant promotional codes.

How is this different from Remarkety's built-in product recommendations?

Remarkety generates recommendations within emails using AI. Tars AI Agents extend that intelligence into live conversations, querying customer data and product catalogs in real time to make contextual suggestions during chat. The combination of email automation and conversational commerce covers the full customer journey.

Can the agent upload new email subscribers collected during conversations?

Yes. Using Remarkety's batch contact upload endpoint, the agent syncs newly collected subscriber details including name, email, and custom attributes directly into your Remarkety store. These contacts immediately enter your segmentation and start receiving targeted campaigns.

What happens if the agent cannot find a customer in Remarkety?

If no customer record matches the provided details, the agent informs the shopper and offers to assist as a new visitor. It can also collect their email and other details during the conversation and upload them to Remarkety as a new contact, ensuring they receive future marketing communications.
