How does the AI agent create leads versus contacts in Pipedrive?

Leads and persons are separate objects in Pipedrive. The agent can create either based on your configuration. For unqualified visitors, it creates a lead with labels. Once qualified, it can convert the lead to a deal and create an associated person record. You control the qualification rules that trigger each action.

Can the agent access custom fields in my Pipedrive account?

Yes. Pipedrive's API includes all custom fields you have defined for deals, persons, and organizations. The agent can read and write to custom fields like 'Industry,' 'Company Size,' or any other field specific to your sales process. It adapts to your unique Pipedrive configuration.

What Pipedrive permissions does Tars need?

Tars uses your Pipedrive API token, which inherits the permissions of the user who generated it. For full functionality, the token should come from a user with access to leads, deals, persons, organizations, and activities. You can create a dedicated Tars user in Pipedrive with specific permissions to limit access.

Does Tars store copies of my Pipedrive deal data?

No. Tars queries your Pipedrive account in real time during each conversation. Contact information, deal details, and pipeline data are fetched live from Pipedrive and used only to respond to the current interaction. We do not maintain a separate database of your CRM records.

Can the agent handle multiple Pipedrive pipelines?

Yes. Pipedrive supports multiple pipelines, and the agent can read stages across all of them. When creating deals, you can configure which pipeline the agent assigns based on qualification criteria. Enterprise leads go to one pipeline, SMB leads to another. The agent respects your pipeline structure.
