What Payhip events can the AI agent process?

The agent handles four webhook event types: paid (purchase completed), refunded (payment refunded), subscription.created (new subscription started), and subscription.deleted (subscription canceled). Each event carries detailed payload data including customer email, amounts, items, timestamps, and payment method.

How does the agent verify that webhook data actually comes from Payhip?

Every Payhip webhook payload includes a signature field containing an HMAC-SHA256 hash generated with your API key. The agent validates this signature before processing any event, ensuring that only authentic Payhip events trigger actions. This prevents spoofed requests from affecting your workflow.

Can the agent tell if a purchase was a gift?

Yes. Payhip's paid webhook includes an is_gift boolean field. The agent can detect gift purchases and adjust its response accordingly, for example by sending delivery instructions to the gift recipient's email rather than the buyer's, or acknowledging the gift nature of the transaction.
