Does Tars store my Clarity analytics data?

No. All analytics data is fetched in real-time from Microsoft Clarity's Data Export API during the conversation. Session metrics, engagement data, and dimensional breakdowns are used only to formulate the current response. Tars does not cache or store your website analytics.

Is Microsoft Clarity really free? Are there limits on the API?

Yes, Microsoft Clarity is completely free with no traffic limits on data collection. The Data Export API has rate limits, but for conversational analytics queries, you will not approach them. The agent makes individual export requests when team members ask questions, which is well within normal API usage.

How is this different from just logging into the Clarity dashboard?

You need a Clarity Data Export API token, which you generate from your Clarity project settings. This Bearer token authenticates API requests. Each token is scoped to a specific Clarity project.
