How does the AI agent identify which company a website visitor belongs to?

The agent calls Leadfeeder's IP Enrichment API with the visitor's IP address. Leadfeeder's proprietary database maps IPs to company profiles, returning firmographic data like company name, industry, and size. This works even for visitors browsing from home offices, using Leadfeeder's extended identification technology.

Can the agent show me which pages a specific lead viewed on my website?

Yes. The agent uses Leadfeeder's Get All Visits endpoint with the lead ID and optional date filters. It returns detailed visit records including pages viewed, visit timestamps, and session duration. Your sales team gets a complete browsing behavior picture for any identified company.

What credentials does Tars need to connect to Leadfeeder?

Tars requires your Leadfeeder API token and a User-Agent string (your application name). The token is generated from your Leadfeeder account settings and grants read access to accounts, leads, visits, and custom feeds. You can revoke the token at any time.

Does Tars store visitor identification data from Leadfeeder?

No. Tars queries Leadfeeder's API in real time. Company profiles, visit histories, and custom feed data are fetched live during each conversation and used only for the current interaction. No visitor data is cached or stored by Tars.

What happens if Leadfeeder cannot identify a visitor's IP address?

Leadfeeder returns a 404 response when no company match is found. The agent handles this gracefully by informing the user that the IP could not be resolved, then continues the conversation with other available context or asks qualifying questions directly.

Can the agent access custom lead feeds with specific segmentation rules?

Yes. The agent calls Leadfeeder's Custom Feeds endpoint for a specific account and returns all configured feed names and their filter criteria. This lets your team verify which segments are being tracked without navigating the Leadfeeder dashboard.
