Where do I find my Kaggle API key for the integration?

Go to your Kaggle account page, scroll to the API section, and click 'Create New Token.' This downloads a kaggle.json file containing your username and API key. Enter the API key in the Tars tool configuration. Keep this file secure as it provides full access to your Kaggle account.

Can the agent submit competition entries automatically after a kernel finishes?

You can configure a workflow where the agent monitors kernel status and, once completed, triggers a submission using the output file's blob token. The agent checks the kernel status endpoint periodically and proceeds with submission when the status changes to 'complete.'

Does the agent support searching datasets by license type?

Yes. The list datasets endpoint accepts a license parameter. You can filter by specific licenses like CC0-1.0, CC-BY-4.0, or others to ensure the data you find meets your usage and attribution requirements.

Can the agent create entirely new datasets or only new versions?

Both. The agent can create brand new datasets with full metadata including title, description, license, keywords, and file references. It can also publish new versions of existing datasets with updated files and version notes while preserving the dataset's history.

Does Tars store Kaggle competition data or dataset files?

No. Download paths are local to your configured environment. Tars orchestrates the API calls but does not store competition files, dataset contents, or notebook outputs. All data remains on Kaggle's servers or your local download directory.

Can the agent search for datasets owned by a specific user or organization?

Yes. The list datasets endpoint supports a user parameter to filter by dataset owner. Combine this with search terms, file type, and size filters to find exactly what you need from a specific contributor's collection.

How is this different from using the Kaggle CLI directly?
