How does the AI agent convert a PDF into a Heyzine flipbook?

The agent calls Heyzine's REST API with the direct URL of your PDF (or DOCX/PPTX). You can use the synchronous endpoint for immediate results or the asynchronous endpoint for large files. Heyzine processes the document and returns flipbook URLs, thumbnail links, and viewer details.

Can the agent set up password protection on a flipbook?

Yes. The agent calls Heyzine's update password protection endpoint, choosing from three modes: 'everyone' for a shared password, 'users' for individual credentials, or 'disabled' to remove protection. Custom prompt text for the password field is also configurable.

What authentication does Tars need for Heyzine?

Tars uses your Heyzine API key (also called client ID) from your Heyzine dashboard. This key authenticates all API calls including flipbook creation, listing, and access management. You can regenerate it anytime from your account settings.

Does Tars store copies of my flipbook PDFs or content?

No. Tars passes the PDF URL to Heyzine's API for processing. The converted flipbook and all associated assets are stored on Heyzine's servers. Tars only handles the API request and response during the conversation.

Can the agent collect leads from flipbook forms?

Heyzine supports lead capture forms within flipbooks. The agent can configure webhook endpoints in your Heyzine account to receive lead data when visitors fill out forms. These leads can then be routed to your CRM or email marketing tools through your automation stack.

How is this different from uploading PDFs to Heyzine manually?

Manual uploads require logging into Heyzine, configuring settings, and copying links. With Tars, the entire process happens inside a conversation. Your team or customers provide a PDF link, and the agent handles conversion, branding, protection, and delivery automatically.

Can the agent embed flipbooks directly into my website?

Yes. The agent retrieves the HTML embed code (iframe snippet) for any flipbook using Heyzine's oEmbed or embed code endpoint. It returns the snippet with your specified max width and height, ready to paste into your site's HTML.

What file formats does Heyzine accept through the API?

Heyzine's API accepts PDF, DOCX, and PPTX files. The document URL must be a direct link with no redirects. The agent passes the URL-encoded file link to Heyzine, which handles the conversion to an interactive flipbook with your chosen page-flip effect.
