How does the AI agent add speakers to my Eventee event?

The agent calls Eventee's Add Speaker API endpoint with the speaker's name, biography, company, position, lecture title, description, photo URL, and social links. All required fields are collected conversationally. The speaker appears on your event immediately after the API call completes, with no need to log into the Eventee dashboard.

Can the agent remove a speaker if they cancel?

Yes. Provide the speaker's ID and the agent calls Eventee's Delete Speaker endpoint. The speaker is removed from the event roster instantly. Attendees using the Eventee app or web interface see the updated schedule on their next refresh.

What authentication does Tars need for Eventee?

Tars requires your Eventee API token, which is sent as a Bearer token in request headers. You generate this token from your Eventee account settings. No OAuth flow or complex setup is needed. You can regenerate or revoke the token at any time.

Does Tars store speaker data from my Eventee account?

No. Speaker details are sent directly to Eventee's API during the conversation. Tars does not maintain a separate database of your speaker or event information. Once the conversation ends, no Eventee data is retained on our side.

Can the agent handle speaker profiles with social media links and photos?

Absolutely. The Add Speaker endpoint supports biography, company, position, email, photo URL, lecture title, lecture description, and a social media object with key-value pairs for platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and personal websites. The agent collects each field during conversation and submits them together.

How is this different from managing speakers directly in the Eventee dashboard?

The Eventee dashboard requires manual data entry for each speaker. With Tars, speakers can be onboarded through a conversational flow over chat, email, or WhatsApp. The agent collects information naturally, validates it, and pushes it to Eventee automatically. This is especially useful when onboarding multiple speakers quickly.

What happens if the agent tries to add a speaker without the required event ID?

The agent will ask for the event ID before making the API call. If no event ID is available, the agent can first call the List Events endpoint to retrieve your available events and let you select the correct one. The speaker is then added to the chosen event.

Can I use the agent to show attendees a list of all my upcoming Eventee events?

Yes. The agent calls Eventee's List Events endpoint and retrieves all events associated with your account. It can present event names, dates, and descriptions to attendees in a conversational format, helping them decide which event to attend without leaving the chat.
