How does the AI agent find a specific customer's purchase in DPD?

The agent queries DPD's List Purchases endpoint with date filters and pagination. When a customer provides their email or order details, the agent searches through purchase records and matches the transaction. Results include product name, amount paid, and purchase date, all fetched live from your DPD account.

Can the agent verify whether a subscriber still has active access to my content?

Yes. The agent calls the DPD Subscribers endpoint filtered by email and storefront ID. It checks the subscriber's current status and reports whether their access is active, expired, or requires renewal. This happens during the conversation without any manual lookup on your part.

What DPD credentials does Tars require to connect?

Tars needs your DPD API key, which you can generate from your DPD account settings. The API provides read-only access to your storefronts, purchases, customers, and subscribers. No admin password is shared, and you can revoke the key at any time from your DPD dashboard.

Does Tars store copies of my DPD purchase or customer data?

No. Tars queries DPD in real time during each conversation. Purchase records, customer emails, and subscriber details are fetched live and used only to respond to the current inquiry. We do not maintain a separate copy of your DPD data between conversations.

The DPD API is read-only. Can the agent still help with refund requests?

The agent cannot process refunds directly through the DPD API since it is read-only. However, it can look up the purchase details, confirm eligibility based on your refund policy, and then escalate to a human agent with full context so your team can process the refund quickly in the DPD dashboard.

How does webhook verification work with the Tars integration?

When DPD sends a purchase webhook, the agent can verify authenticity by posting the signature and payload back to DPD's verification endpoint. Only confirmed notifications trigger actions like granting download access or sending confirmation messages, protecting you from spoofed requests.

I manage multiple DPD storefronts. Can the agent handle all of them?

Yes. The agent accesses every storefront linked to your DPD API key. It can list all storefronts, retrieve details for any specific one by ID, and look up subscribers per storefront. Customers asking about different product lines get routed to the correct storefront automatically.

How is this different from DPD's built-in email support for buyers?

DPD sends transactional emails for purchases and downloads, but those are one-directional. Tars AI Agents have actual conversations, answering follow-up questions about access issues, finding lost download links, and verifying subscriptions interactively across your website, WhatsApp, and other channels.
