When a customer provides their email, the agent calls Doppler's Add Subscriber endpoint with the email, list ID, custom fields like first name, and optional tags. Doppler processes the addition instantly. If you have welcome automations configured, they trigger automatically for the new subscriber.

Can the agent handle double opt-in requirements for GDPR compliance?

Yes. Doppler lists support both Single and Double opt-in types. When your list is configured for Double opt-in, Doppler automatically sends a confirmation email after the agent adds the subscriber. The subscriber only becomes active after confirming, keeping you fully compliant.

What subscriber data can the agent capture beyond just email?

The agent can pass custom fields like first name, phone number, company, and any other fields defined in your Doppler list. It can also set language preference codes like EN or ES, assign origin tracking such as 'website-chat', and apply custom tags for segmentation.
