Docparser
Customers submit invoices, purchase orders, and receipts. Your AI agent sends them through Docparser's OCR engine, retrieves extracted data fields, and responds with the exact numbers your customer needs. No manual data entry, no waiting for a human to read the PDF.

Your AI agent taps into Docparser's parsing engine to pull structured data from PDFs and scanned documents while customers wait in real time.
Docparser
Real scenarios where your AI agent turns raw PDFs into actionable data that customers and internal teams can use without delay.
An accounts payable team member asks for the total and due date from a vendor invoice they uploaded earlier. Your AI Agent queries Docparser's results API with the correct parser ID, retrieves the extracted invoice total, payment terms, and due date, and delivers a clean summary. The team member gets their answer immediately, and your finance team processes invoices without manual PDF review.
A supplier contacts your business to confirm the details of a purchase order. Your AI Agent identifies the right parser for PO documents, pulls the latest parsed results, and reads back line items, quantities, and unit prices. The supplier gets instant confirmation, and your procurement team avoids digging through email attachments.
A customer uploads 50 shipping manifests and asks which ones have finished processing. Your AI Agent calls Docparser's results endpoint with the include_processing_queue flag to identify documents still in the queue versus those already parsed. The customer knows exactly which manifests are ready for review, saving your operations team from fielding repeated status inquiries.

Docparser
FAQs
The agent calls Docparser's Get Multiple Document Results endpoint using your parser ID. It retrieves all extracted fields, including line items, totals, dates, and custom fields you have defined in your parser configuration. Results come back as structured JSON that the agent converts into a conversational answer.
Yes. The agent first calls the List Parsers endpoint to see all available parsers in your account, then uses Get Parser Models to check which layout model applies. It routes each document query to the correct parser and model automatically based on document type.
Tars uses your Docparser API key, which you can find and reset under Settings then API in your Docparser account. Paste the key into the Tars dashboard when adding the tool. No OAuth or additional permissions are needed.
No. The agent fetches parsed results from Docparser's API in real time during conversations. Extracted data is used only to answer the current query. Tars does not maintain a separate database of your parsed document data.
Yes. By setting the include_processing_queue parameter to true when calling the results API, the agent can identify documents that are still in the parsing queue. It will let the customer know that processing is underway and suggest checking back shortly.
Docparser supports PDFs, scanned images, Word documents, CSV, XLS, TXT, and XML files. It uses Zonal OCR and pattern recognition to extract data from structured and semi-structured documents like invoices, purchase orders, receipts, shipping manifests, and bank statements.
Docparser's dashboard requires a team member to log in and manually look up results. With Tars, customers or team members ask a question in chat and the agent pulls parsed data instantly. No login, no navigation, just answers delivered in the conversation.
Yes. The Docparser results API supports filtering by upload date, processing date, and remote_id. Your agent uses these parameters to narrow results, so customers only see data from the specific time range or document batch they are asking about.
Don't limit your AI Agent to basic conversations. Watch how to configure and add powerful tools making your agent smarter and more functional.
