How does the AI agent answer security questionnaire questions using Conveyor?

The agent submits each question to Conveyor's Post Single Question API along with the relevant product line IDs. Conveyor's AI engine searches your knowledge base of pre-approved answers, documents, and external sources, then returns a verified response. The agent relays this answer to the prospect in natural language, citing the source where applicable.

Can the agent grant trust center access to prospects automatically?

Yes. When a prospect requests access to your trust center, the agent uses Conveyor's Post Authorization endpoint to create access by email. You can configure whether this happens automatically or requires approval. Access group assignments ensure prospects only see documents relevant to their evaluation.

What Conveyor API permissions does Tars require?

Tars needs a Conveyor API key with read access to documents, folders, knowledge base questions, and product lines. If you enable authorization management, write access to authorizations is also needed. API keys are generated in the Conveyor UI under your account settings. You control which capabilities the key enables.

Does Tars store copies of my security documents from Conveyor?

No. Tars queries Conveyor in real-time during conversations. Document metadata, knowledge base answers, and authorization details are fetched live and used only for the current interaction. We never cache or persist your compliance documentation in our systems.

Can the agent scope answers to specific product lines in Conveyor?

Yes. Conveyor organizes security information by product lines. The agent retrieves your product line list, identifies which product the prospect is evaluating, and scopes all questions to that product's specific compliance profile. This prevents generic answers and ensures accuracy for multi-product organizations.

What happens if Conveyor's AI cannot find an answer to a security question?

When Conveyor returns a low-confidence or empty response, the agent transparently tells the prospect that the question requires manual review and creates a follow-up task for your security team. It can also offer to connect the prospect to a human agent for immediate assistance.
