When converting PDF to DOCX, the agent can set OcrMode to 'auto', 'force', or 'never'. In auto mode, ConvertAPI detects whether pages contain actual text or scanned images and applies OCR only where needed. You can also specify the OCR engine (native or tesseract) and language. The result is an editable Word document with extracted text.
The agent uses ConvertAPI's async conversion endpoint for large or complex files. This avoids client timeouts by submitting the job and receiving a JobId. Yes. The PDF-to-DOCX endpoint includes a Wysiwyg parameter. When enabled, ConvertAPI uses text boxes to maintain exact visual positioning from the original PDF.
