The agent uses Clientary's Invoices API to fetch specific invoices by ID or list all invoices for a client. It pulls line items, tax details, payment status, subtotals, and outstanding balances in real time. No data is cached or stored. Each lookup goes directly to your Clientary account.

Can the agent create leads and clients in Clientary during a conversation?

Yes. When a prospect shares their company name and contact details, the agent calls Clientary's Create Lead or Create Client API. It populates fields like name, address, website, and description. You can configure which fields are required before submission so your records stay consistent.

What Clientary credentials does Tars need to connect?

Tars requires your Clientary subdomain and an API token. You generate the token from your Clientary profile page by clicking 'Generate API Token.' The subdomain is the prefix of your Clientary URL. Both are entered once in the Tars dashboard, and the connection is established immediately.

Does Tars store copies of my Clientary invoices or client data?

No. Tars queries Clientary's API in real time during each conversation. Invoice amounts, client details, and project data are fetched live and used only to generate the response. We do not maintain a separate database of your Clientary records.

Can the agent send invoices by email through Clientary?

Yes. The agent can trigger Clientary's Send Invoice Message endpoint to email an invoice to specified recipients. You can configure the subject line, body message, whether to attach a PDF, and whether to send yourself a copy. The invoice is delivered directly through Clientary's email system.

How does the agent track project hours and budgets?

The agent calls Clientary's List Project Hours endpoint to retrieve all time entries for a specific project. It can filter by billed or unbilled status and compare logged hours against the project budget. This gives clients and managers a real-time view of budget utilization without opening Clientary.

What happens if a client asks about a project that does not exist in Clientary?

The agent handles this gracefully. If no project matches the provided details, it informs the client that no matching record was found, asks them to verify the project name or number, and offers to connect them with a team member for further assistance. No errors or dead ends.
