How does the AI agent look up existing contacts in CentralStationCRM?

The agent uses CentralStationCRM's Search People endpoint to find contacts by name, email, or phone number. It can also use the global Search endpoint to find matching records across people, companies, deals, and projects simultaneously. Results include associated tags and company affiliations for full context.

Can the agent create deals with different billing models like monthly or hourly?

Yes. When creating a deal, the agent sets the value_type parameter to total, monthly, hourly, or daily. For recurring revenue, it captures the per-period value and quantity. CentralStationCRM calculates the deal sum accordingly, so your pipeline reflects accurate revenue projections.

What credentials does Tars need to connect to CentralStationCRM?

Tars requires your CentralStationCRM account subdomain and API key. You can generate the API key from your CentralStationCRM settings. The connection uses HTTPS encryption, and CentralStationCRM stores all data on German servers with GDPR-compliant data protection.

Is my customer data safe with this integration?

Yes. Tars queries CentralStationCRM in real time and does not store copies of your contact or deal data. CentralStationCRM itself uses encrypted SSL connections and hosts all data on dedicated servers in Germany. You retain full control and can revoke the API key at any time.

What happens if the agent finds duplicate contacts during a conversation?

The agent can use the Merge Person endpoint to consolidate duplicate records. It identifies the primary record to keep, merges the secondary records into it, and preserves all associated notes, deals, and historic events. You can also configure it to flag duplicates for manual review instead of auto-merging.

How is this different from using CentralStationCRM's built-in email and web features?

CentralStationCRM's native features are designed for manual use, requiring your team to log in and enter data. The Tars integration captures leads and updates records automatically during conversations, across website chat and WhatsApp. Your team gets CRM updates without opening the dashboard.

Can the agent record important dates like birthdays or contract renewals?

Yes. The agent uses the Create Person Historic Event endpoint to log dates categorized as birthdays, anniversaries, first meetings, renewals, or custom types. These milestones appear on the contact's record in CentralStationCRM, helping your team maintain personal relationships at scale.

Does the agent work with CentralStationCRM's tagging and grouping system?

The agent can assign contacts and companies to groups using the group_id parameter when creating or updating records. This lets you automatically segment leads by source, industry, or any criteria your team uses for organizing contacts and running targeted outreach campaigns.
