Can the agent route callbacks to specific departments?

Yes. The Widget Call endpoint accepts a department_id parameter. Your AI agent determines which department to route the call to based on the visitor's questions during the chat, then passes the appropriate department ID. If no department is specified, all available managers ring.

What happens when a visitor requests a callback outside business hours?

When no managers are available, CallPage queues the callback for the first open time slot based on your manager business hours configuration. Your AI agent can also inform the visitor of the expected callback window and collect additional qualifying information while they wait.
