How does the AI agent access my Calendly availability in real time?

The agent calls Calendly's List Event Type Available Times endpoint whenever a prospect asks to book. It respects your scheduling rules, buffer times, daily meeting limits, and working hours. Availability is fetched live, so double-bookings are not possible. Your existing Calendly settings control everything.

Can I set qualification criteria before meetings get booked?

Yes. Define qualification questions and required answers in your agent configuration. Company size must be 50 or more? They answer that first. Budget below your threshold? The agent redirects to self-service resources. You control exactly who gets on your calendar.

Does the booking happen inside the conversation or redirect to Calendly?

Inside the conversation. The prospect never leaves your chat to visit a Calendly scheduling page. The agent shows available times, they pick one, the agent confirms via the Create Event Invitee API. Fewer drop-offs and higher conversion compared to sending a scheduling link.

Can different team members have different Calendly event types?

Yes. Configure routing rules based on qualification answers. Enterprise prospects book with your enterprise AE's 45-minute demo event type. SMB prospects book with your SDR's 15-minute intro call. Each team member's event type is selected automatically based on the conversation.

What if a prospect wants to reschedule after booking?

The agent handles reschedules within the conversation. It finds the existing booking by the prospect's email, cancels the old event using the Cancel Event endpoint, shows new available slots, and creates a fresh booking. Standard Calendly reschedule emails are also sent.

How is this different from just sending my Calendly link?

Sending a link means prospects leave your conversation to book on a separate page. Many never return. Tars keeps them engaged, qualifies them, answers objections, then books the meeting without any page navigation. You also capture qualification data that a standalone link cannot collect.

Does the agent work with Calendly Teams and Round Robin event types?

Yes. If you use Calendly Teams for round-robin distribution, the agent books with the team event type and Calendly handles the internal assignment. Your existing team scheduling rules, priorities, and capacity settings all apply without additional Tars configuration.

What details get passed to the Calendly event after booking?

Prospect name, email, company name, and any custom question answers you configure. These appear in the Calendly event details and sync to your connected calendar app. Your sales rep sees the full qualification picture and conversation context before the call.
