How does the AI agent look up contacts in my Brevo account?

The agent uses Brevo's Find Contact API to search by email address or phone number. When a customer provides their email during a chat, the agent queries Brevo in real-time and retrieves their full profile, including attributes, list memberships, and engagement data. This happens within the conversation without any dashboard access needed.

Can the agent send SMS campaigns to specific contact lists?

Yes. The agent uses Brevo's Create SMS Campaign API and can target specific list IDs, set the sender name, compose the message content, and schedule delivery. You define which lists the agent can target in your configuration, so it only sends to approved audiences.

What Brevo API permissions does Tars require?

Tars connects using your Brevo API key, which you generate from your Brevo account settings under SMTP and API. The key grants access to contacts, campaigns, templates, and lists based on your account plan. You can revoke or regenerate the key at any time from your Brevo dashboard.

Does Tars store my Brevo contact data or email lists?

No. Tars queries Brevo's API in real-time during active conversations. Contact details, list information, and campaign data are fetched live and used only for the current interaction. We do not maintain a separate copy of your Brevo marketing data.

Can the agent create contacts that automatically trigger Brevo automation workflows?

The agent creates contacts and adds them to lists using Brevo's API. If you have automation workflows in Brevo triggered by list membership or contact creation events, those automations will fire as expected. The agent works within Brevo's existing automation framework.
