See how businesses use Claude intelligence to handle questions their knowledge base cannot answer.
A customer asks a nuanced question your FAQ does not cover. Your AI Agent sends the conversation context to Claude, receives a thoughtful analysis, and delivers an accurate response. The customer gets help instantly while your support team handles only escalations.
Customer requests a custom product comparison or personalized recommendation. Your AI Agent calls Claude with their requirements, generates tailored content in real-time, and presents options specific to their needs. No pre-written templates required.
Customers frequently ask similar questions with shared context like company policies. Your AI Agent uses prompt caching to store the static context, reducing API costs by 90% while maintaining the same response quality for high-volume conversations.

FAQs
Your agent can access any Claude model enabled for your Anthropic organization including Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Opus, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Claude 3 Haiku. Use the List Models endpoint to see exactly which models are available to your API key.
Prompt caching stores static content like system instructions or context documents. On subsequent requests, cached tokens are billed at a fraction of the normal rate. For conversations with shared context, this can reduce costs by up to 90% while maintaining response quality.
Temperature controls randomness from 0 to 1. Lower values produce consistent, factual responses while higher values increase creativity. Top_k limits token selection to the K most likely options. Top_p uses nucleus sampling to select from tokens comprising a probability mass. Combine these to fine-tune response style.
Yes. Enable the stream parameter to receive tokens as they generate. This provides immediate feedback during longer responses instead of making customers wait for the complete output. Streaming works with all Claude models and all parameter configurations.
Standard API access requires keys starting with sk-ant-api which you generate in the Anthropic Console. For administrative functions like managing workspaces or team members, you need an Admin API key starting with sk-ant-admin. This integration uses the standard API key.
Claude 3 Opus excels at complex reasoning, analysis, and nuanced tasks but costs more. Claude 3.5 Sonnet balances intelligence and speed for most use cases. Claude 3 Haiku provides the fastest responses at lowest cost for simpler queries. Match model choice to question complexity.
When rate limits are exceeded, requests return a 429 error. Your agent handles this gracefully by falling back to your knowledge base or informing the customer of temporary unavailability. Contact Anthropic to request higher limits for production workloads.
Tars logs conversation transcripts which include Claude responses for quality assurance and analytics. The prompts and model outputs are not shared with third parties. You can configure retention policies in your Tars dashboard. Anthropic's data usage policies also apply to API calls.
Don't limit your AI Agent to basic conversations. Watch how to configure and add powerful tools making your agent smarter and more functional.
