How does the AI agent decide what data to anonymize?

Your AI agent follows the rules you configure. You can set it to automatically anonymize all PII fields (SSN, email, phone, address) or trigger anonymization based on customer requests or specific conversation contexts. The agent calls AnonyFlow's anonymize endpoint for each sensitive value it processes.

Can I control which team members can deanonymize data?

Yes. Deanonymization requires your private API key. You can configure the AI agent to only perform deanonymization when requests come from verified admin roles or specific authenticated users. The agent can also be set to deanonymize only specific fields rather than entire records.

What happens to anonymized data if we lose our AnonyFlow API key?

AnonyFlow uses encryption-based anonymization tied to your account's private key. If you lose access, anonymized data cannot be recovered - this is intentional for security. AnonyFlow recommends securing your API key through your account dashboard and maintaining proper key management protocols.

Does AnonyFlow store copies of our original data?

No. AnonyFlow processes data through encryption and returns the anonymized result. The original plaintext passes through their AWS-powered API but is not stored. Your encrypted data remains in your systems - AnonyFlow only holds the encryption keys needed for deanonymization.

How does this help with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) requests?

When a customer invokes their right to be forgotten, your AI agent can process all their records through AnonyFlow's anonymization. This encryption-based approach satisfies GDPR requirements because the data becomes unreadable without the key - effectively "erasing" personal information while maintaining record integrity.
