How does the AI agent issue certificates to course completers?

When a learner completes a course, your AI agent can call Accredible's credential creation API with the recipient's name, email, and group ID. The agent can issue single credentials or use bulk creation to process up to 30 certificates in one batch. Each recipient receives their branded credential via email with one-click social sharing enabled.

Can the agent verify credentials for employers checking candidate certifications?

Yes. When an employer asks to verify a certification, your AI agent searches Accredible's credential database by email or credential ID. It retrieves the credential status, issue date, earning criteria, and expiration information, then provides verification confirmation. This gives employers instant trust in your credentials.

What Accredible permissions does Tars need to issue certificates?

Tars requires an Accredible API key with credential creation permissions. This key is generated in your Accredible dashboard under API settings. The integration uses read and write access to create credentials, manage groups, and search collections. Your API key stays encrypted and is never shared.

Does Tars store copies of my credential recipient data?

Tars does not permanently store your Accredible recipient data. When the AI agent issues credentials or verifies certifications, it makes real-time API calls to Accredible and returns responses directly. Conversation logs may temporarily contain credential details for context, but your master credential database remains in Accredible.

Can the agent handle blockchain-recorded credentials?

Yes. When creating credential groups, your AI agent can enable blockchain recording through Accredible's API. Credentials issued from these groups are automatically recorded on the blockchain, providing tamper-proof verification. The agent can also inform recipients about their blockchain-verified credential status.

What happens if someone requests a credential for a course they did not complete?

Your AI agent can be configured to verify completion status in your LMS before issuing credentials. If completion cannot be verified, the agent explains the earning criteria and directs the person to complete remaining requirements. This prevents unauthorized credential issuance while providing helpful guidance.

How is this different from Accredible's native email automation?

Accredible's email automation issues credentials based on triggers but cannot have conversations. Tars AI agents engage in real-time dialogue, answering questions about certification requirements, helping troubleshoot credential access issues, verifying credentials for third parties, and handling complex requests that require context and judgment.

Can the agent create custom certificate designs during conversations?

The agent cannot design certificates visually, but it can create credential groups with your existing Accredible design templates. When setting up new programs, the agent retrieves available certificate and badge designs, lets administrators select their preferred template by ID, and applies it to the new credential group.
