How does the agent handle ambiguous or misspelled queries?

The agent uses Wolfram Alpha's Validate Query endpoint before computing. This returns parsing assumptions and warnings, allowing the agent to clarify ambiguous inputs with the customer or auto-correct common misspellings before running the computation.

Do I need a paid Wolfram Alpha API plan for this integration?

You need a Wolfram Alpha AppID, which you can get from the Wolfram Alpha Developer Portal. Free plans include a limited number of monthly queries. For production workloads, a paid API plan provides higher throughput. Tars connects using whatever AppID you provide.

What happens if a computation takes too long?

Wolfram Alpha supports async computation and recalculation. If a query times out, the agent automatically uses the recalculate endpoint with session tokens to retrieve the remaining results. Customers see a brief 'computing' message, then get complete answers.

Does Tars store the computation results from Wolfram Alpha?

No. Computation results are fetched in real time during the conversation and used only to respond to the customer. Tars does not cache or store Wolfram Alpha query results in a separate database. Each conversation gets fresh, live data.
