Which social platforms does Typefully publish to through the agent?

Typefully supports native publishing to X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon. The agent creates drafts through Typefully's API, and Typefully handles the cross-platform publishing based on your account connections and settings.

How does the agent handle long-form content and threads?

The agent supports two approaches: you can manually split content into tweets using four newlines, or enable the threadify parameter to let Typefully automatically break long content into a thread. Both methods work for X threads, and LinkedIn long-form posts are handled natively.

Can I schedule posts to specific times or only to the next free slot?

Both options are available. Pass an ISO-formatted date for a specific time, or use the next-free-slot parameter to let Typefully place the post at the next optimal time in your schedule. The next-free-slot option respects your configured posting cadence.

Does Tars store my Typefully drafts or post content?

No. Tars sends draft creation requests to Typefully's API and retrieves scheduled and published content in real time. Your content lives in Typefully's system. Tars does not maintain a separate copy of your drafts, schedules, or published posts.

What is AutoPlug and can the agent configure it?

AutoPlug is Typefully's feature that automatically adds a promotional reply under your tweets. When creating a draft, the agent can enable the auto_plug_enabled flag. Your Typefully settings determine the actual plug content. This is useful for driving traffic to landing pages or products.

How is this different from scheduling directly in X or LinkedIn?

Native scheduling on X and LinkedIn requires manual interaction with each platform. Through Tars and Typefully, you describe content once and it gets formatted, scheduled, and published across multiple platforms. Plus, you get thread management, AutoPlug, and collaborative review features that native scheduling lacks.

Can the agent create drafts for multiple Typefully accounts?

Each Typefully API key is tied to a specific account. You can configure multiple Typefully tool connections in your Tars dashboard for different accounts. The agent routes draft creation to the correct account based on conversation context.

Can I review and edit drafts before they publish?

Yes. Create drafts without a schedule_date and they remain unpublished in your Typefully queue. The agent can also generate share links for team review. Approve and schedule from the Typefully app or by telling the agent to schedule the draft later.
