How does the AI agent look up specific project records in ProProfs Project?

The agent uses the Get Record endpoint with the data type name and unique record ID. When a client references a project by name, the agent first searches objects with a constraint filter, finds the matching record ID, then retrieves the complete record with all its fields.

Can the agent filter ProProfs Project tasks by multiple criteria?

Yes. The agent passes JSON-encoded search constraints to the Get Objects endpoint. You can filter by any field available in the data type, such as status, assignee, due date, or priority. Multiple criteria can be combined in a single query to narrow results precisely.

What ProProfs Project credentials does Tars need?

Tars requires your ProProfs Project API key (found on your My Account page) and your account domain (like 'mydomain.projectbubble.com'). These are entered during setup and used for all API requests. No admin password or login credentials are needed.

Does Tars store project data retrieved from ProProfs Project?

No. All project records, task details, and data type fields are queried in real time through the ProProfs Project API during conversations. The data is used to generate the response and is not stored or cached on Tars servers.

Can the agent handle projects with hundreds of tasks efficiently?

Yes. The agent uses pagination with cursor-based navigation and configurable limits (up to 1,000 objects per request). For summary questions, it can use the count parameter to return just the total number of matching records without downloading all the data.

How is this different from checking ProProfs Project's dashboard directly?

The dashboard requires login, navigation, and manual filtering. The Tars integration lets anyone, including clients who do not have project tool access, ask questions in natural language and get formatted answers. It works on WhatsApp, SMS, and your website, not just the project management interface.

Can the agent explain what fields are available in a ProProfs Project data type?
