Use Cases

Digital trust built through conversation

Discover how organizations use AI agents with Paradym to issue verifiable credentials, verify customer identities, and manage decentralized identity workflows through natural interactions.

Instant Credential Verification for Onboarding

A new customer needs to prove their professional certification during account onboarding. Your AI Agent creates a verification request through Paradym, prompts the customer to present their verifiable credential from their digital wallet, and checks the cryptographic proof against the presentation template. Identity verified in seconds. No document uploads, no manual review, no waiting.

Automated Certificate Issuance After Course Completion

A student completes an online course and messages your AI Agent asking for their certificate. The agent checks the course completion status, creates a DIDComm issuance offer through Paradym with the credential details, and delivers the verifiable certificate to the student's digital wallet. A tamper-proof credential issued without any admin involvement.

Self-Service Credential Status Check

A credential holder asks whether their issued credential is still active. Your AI Agent queries Paradym's issued credentials endpoint for their project, finds the matching record, and confirms the credential status, issuance date, and expiry information. The holder gets peace of mind. Your support team never fields the question.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What credential standards does Paradym support through the AI agent?

Paradym supports SD-JWT Verifiable Credentials over OpenID4VC and AnonCreds Verifiable Credentials over DIDComm. The agent interacts with both protocols through unified API endpoints. Your organization can issue and verify credentials that comply with W3C standards and are compatible with European Digital Identity (EUDI) wallets.

Can the agent issue credentials directly to a customer's digital wallet?

Yes. The agent creates DIDComm issuance offers through Paradym, which the credential holder accepts in their Paradym wallet or any compatible digital identity wallet. The credential is cryptographically signed and stored in the holder's wallet, giving them full control over their data.

How does the verification process work through the conversation?

The agent creates a DIDComm verification request using a presentation template that defines which credential claims to check. The customer presents their verifiable credential from their wallet. Paradym validates the cryptographic proof and returns the verification result to the agent, which confirms the outcome in the conversation.

What is a DID, and does the customer need to understand it?

A Decentralized Identifier (DID) is a cryptographic identifier that does not depend on any central authority. Customers do not need to understand DIDs. They interact through their digital wallet app. The AI agent and Paradym handle all the cryptographic complexity behind the scenes.

Does Tars store any credential or identity data?

No. Tars orchestrates credential operations through Paradym's API during conversations. Verifiable credentials, DIDs, and verification results are managed entirely within the Paradym platform. Tars does not store copies of credential data or personal identity information.

Can I track all issued credentials for audit purposes?

Yes. The agent calls Paradym's List Issued Credentials endpoint to retrieve a full inventory of all credentials issued within a project, filterable by status. This provides an audit trail accessible through conversation or API, useful for compliance and reporting.

What happens if a verification request expires before the customer responds?

Paradym tracks verification session states. If a request expires, the agent can detect the expired status through the verification requests endpoint and offer to create a new verification session. The customer gets a fresh opportunity to present their credential without starting from scratch.

How is using Paradym through Tars different from integrating Paradym directly into my application?

Direct integration requires custom development to build credential issuance and verification flows into your app. Through Tars, your AI agent handles these flows conversationally with zero custom code. Customers interact through chat, and the agent manages all Paradym API calls, making verifiable credentials accessible without a dedicated development sprint.
