How many different APIs does Neutrino include?

Neutrino offers 21 APIs covering email validation, email verification (SMTP), phone validation, HLR lookup, IP geolocation, IP probe, host reputation, geocoding, reverse geocoding, bad word filtering, HTML sanitization, HTML rendering, image resizing, QR code generation, URL analysis, unit/currency conversion, SMS verification, user-agent parsing, and security code verification.

What is the difference between email validate and email verify in Neutrino?

Email Validate checks format, DNS, and MX records for fast validation. Email Verify goes deeper with SMTP-level checks, actually connecting to the mail server to confirm the address accepts mail. Verify is more accurate but slower. The agent uses validate for speed and verify when deliverability confirmation is critical.

Can the agent detect if an IP address is using a VPN or proxy?

Yes. The IP Info and IP Probe endpoints include VPN and proxy detection. The agent can identify connections from VPNs, public proxies, TOR exit nodes, and hosting providers, helping you assess whether a visitor is masking their true location.

Does the agent store customer email addresses or phone numbers?

Tars passes these values to Neutrino for validation during the conversation. Neutrino processes the request and returns results. Tars does not persist the validated data beyond the conversation context. Your CRM or database is where validated data should be stored.

How accurate is the phone validation for international numbers?

Neutrino validates phone numbers in any country using international format. It returns carrier name, line type (mobile, landline, VoIP), and country information. For mobile numbers, the HLR Lookup endpoint provides real-time network reachability and roaming status.

Can the agent sanitize HTML to prevent XSS attacks?

Yes. The HTML Clean endpoint strips dangerous tags like script and iframe, removes unsafe attributes like onload and style, and outputs either sanitized HTML or plain text. The agent can process user-submitted content before it reaches your database.

What authentication does Neutrino require?

Neutrino requires both an API key and a User ID. These are static credentials from your Neutrino account. You enter both in your Tars dashboard when configuring the tool. No OAuth flow is needed.

How is this different from using individual validation services?

Most businesses cobble together separate services for email validation, phone checks, IP lookup, and content moderation. Neutrino bundles all of these into one API with one key.
