When a customer provides their city, postal code, or coordinates, the agent calls the appropriate Ambee endpoint. Ambee combines data from 60+ sources including satellites, IoT sensors, and ground monitors to deliver hyperlocal readings with 98% correlation to EPA-grade monitors. The agent then translates raw AQI scores into plain-language health guidance.

Can the agent distinguish between detected wildfires and officially reported ones?

Yes. Ambee's wildfire API separates satellite-detected fires from officially reported incidents. Your agent can specify which type to retrieve, or fetch both to give customers a complete picture. Detected fires include thermal anomaly data while reported fires include official incident details and containment status.

What environmental data does Ambee provide beyond air quality?

Ambee offers a comprehensive climate data suite including pollen counts by type (tree, grass, weed), real-time weather conditions, wildfire tracking and risk forecasts, natural disaster alerts (earthquakes, floods, cyclones, volcanoes), soil moisture levels, elevation data, and Influenza-like Illness risk predictions.

How current is the environmental data the agent retrieves?

How is my Ambee API key protected when connected to Tars?

Your API key is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption. Tars never logs your API credentials, and the key is only used when your agent makes real-time requests to Ambee endpoints. You can revoke and regenerate your API key from your Ambee dashboard at any time without disrupting your agent's configuration.

Can the agent handle air quality queries in multiple languages?

Ambee's API supports multiple languages through the Accept-Language header, enabling responses in different languages.
