Before you start
Before you start, sign in to the dashboard and select the organization you want to work in.- You need the Admin role. Member management, Roles & access, and Livechat seats are admin-only.
Where team management lives
Open Settings and select Organization under the Workspace heading. This page holds your member list and invitations. Admins also see two extra pages here: Roles & access and Livechat seats.Pick the right role
Before you invite someone, open Roles & access to compare the five roles. See Organizations and members for what each role grants.Invite members

Grant live-chat seats
A seat lets a person reply to end users. Seats are independent of role, so you can assign one to any Admin, Member, or Viewer. The Billing and Auditor roles cannot hold a seat. Without a seat, Admins and Auditors can read conversations but cannot reply, and the other roles have no live-chat access.1
Open the seat page
In Organization settings, select Livechat seats.
2
Check the seat counts
The stats card shows Purchased, Assigned, and Available seats. The page header carries Buy seats, or Upgrade on the Free plan. That control is absent unless you can manage billing.
3
Find the member
Use the Search members by name or email… field. You can also filter by role, or by Seated and Not seated.
4
Turn on the Seat toggle
Flip the switch in the Seat column of the member’s row.
A “Seat assigned” message appears, and the Status column shows Seated.
Verify
Ask the invited member to sign in. The member appears in the seat table with their role and seat status. A member with a seat can open the inbox and reply to end users.Related pages
