# Webhooks API

> Manage event destinations with public HTTPS URLs, source selections and scoped API keys.

The key needs **Manage webhooks**, an organization-wide permission. An organization can have up to 20 destinations.

## Sources and events

Choose All resources or a selection of chat agents, voice agents and campaigns. Knowledge bases cannot be webhook sources.

Every chosen event must apply to at least one selected kind. A mixed chat-and-voice selection can subscribe to voice-only call events. End-user events require All resources.

A destination needs a public HTTPS URL. Names are at most 80 characters, URLs at most 2,048 characters, and timeout is 1 to 30 seconds.

## Secrets and concurrent edits

Create and rotate return the secret once. Store it securely to [verify requests](https://hellotars.com/docs/developer/verify-requests.md).

Updates require expectedUpdatedAt from the last read. A stale value returns conflict. Save the returned updatedAt for your next update.
